Cochin - Munnar - Thekkady - Kumarakom – Cochin (06 Nights/07 Days)
Day 01 : Cochin
Arrival at Cochin Airport/Railway station. Meet and assist service on arrival and transfer to the hotel. Proceed for city tour in the afternoon. Cochin or Kochi, is one of the finest natural harbours on the Arabian Sea coast of India. A city of peninsulas and islands, today Cochin is the commercial hub of Kerala. Visit a number of Churches, the Chinese fishing nets at the entrance of Kochi Harbour and the Wellingdon Island. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 02 : Cochin - Munnar (135kms / 3:30hrs)
After breakfast drive to Munnar in the morning. On arrival check in the hotel. Munnar, a hill station in Kerala, is located at the Idukki district of Kerala State in India. The word "Munnar" means three rivers. 3 mountain streams (Madurapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala) are joining together here. Evening at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 03 : Munnar
After breakfast leave for full day sightseeing tour of Munnar. Visit Devikulam lake, Mattupetty lake and Kundala lake. The tea estates, hills, lakes and forests inside Munnar range exposes it's beauty. There are about 30 tea plantations in and around Munnar. Pallivasal, another worth seeing place in Munnar is the venue of the first Hydro Electric Project in Kerala and a place of immense scenic beauty. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 04 : Munnar - Thekkady ( 15 kms / 30 minutes )
After breakfast drive to Thekkady. On arrival check in the hotel. Leave for sightseeing in the afternoon. Lying close to the plantations, in the rich jungles of Periyar in Thekkady is one of the world's most fascinating natural wildlife reserves - the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Noted for its diversity of wildlife and scenic beauty, the Reserve attracts visitors from all over the world. The splendid artificial lake formed by the Mullaperiyar Dam across the Periyar river adds to the charm of the park. Here you can have the unique experience of viewing wildlife at close quarters from the safety of a boat on the lake. The greatest attraction of Periyar remains the large herds of wild elephants that come down to the lake's edge. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 05 : Thekkady - Kumarakom (175 km / 5 hrs)
After breakfast in the hotel drive to Kumarakom in the morning. Arrive Kumarakom and check in the hotel. Kumarakom the bird watcher's paradise. Bask in the beauty of nature amidst marvelous mangrove forests, coconut canopies and Pulsating paddy fields sprinkled with enchanting waterways and canals decked with while lilies. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 06 : Kumarakom
Leave for Water Bird Sanctuary early in the morning. Spread over an area of 14 acres and situated on the eastern banks of the Vembanad lake, the sanctuary adds to the natural beauty of Kumarakom. You can spot domestic birds like Cuckoo, Wild Duck, Egrets, Darters, Herons, Teal, and Waterfowl as well as migratory birds like the Siberian storks. Rest of the day enjoy Backwaters of Kerala. You can hire a boat and go fishing also. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 07 : Kumarakom - Cochin Airport (150kms / around 5 hrs)
After breakfast in the hotel, transfer to Cochin airport/ railway station for onward journey… |
