JantarMantar is a solar observatory located in vicinity of City Palace. The observatory houses many astronomy instruments which are used to forecast the Stars. Hawa Mahal, or sometimes referred to as Palace of Wind is the synonym for Jaipur. It is a five-storey building mainly constructed to provide the royal ladies a place to observe day-to-day activities of people without being noticed. It is called Hawa Mahal, because the 953 windows allow fresh breeze in the palace even during the hottest days.
